 Topic: where is your faith?

Text: 1Sam.1.10 - And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.

What do you desire? What is your goal of pursuit? What are you trying to achieve?  that is so much very difficult and you still desire to have it and you are pursuing............ This might be more than years,  but it seems like every effort you invest into that desire of yours or want look indifferent and nothing is working out of it..... Hey, since those desire were persisting, your mind urge you to quit, that comes into your mind, I have struggled, I have fight, I have spent several many night in research just for one thing, the result is your definite target........... Can I tell you a popular story of a woman in the Bible who lay all her partitions to the Lord? She was looking for only one thing....... To makes her desire fulfill and to be happy, this woman pursuit make her unhappy.

Just like you are looking for that very unaccomplished task........, that is a big  burden to you, bitterness as fill your mind, but you always keep on asking, can I still reach my goal? One thing!!!

This woman in our text pursue, pray and weep but her partitions was delaying.... Still she kept on pursuing, ..............Can we look at another interesting story about another woman? Yes. There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: Luke 18:2 . It is high time you know those challenge you encounter that makes you to thirst and feel strong, this judge in our text has no regards for God neither human but there is a certain widow who always visit him for a challenge, Luke.18.3 - And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying,........... Avenge me of mine adversary. One thing she desire with persistency, with determination to achieve from this judge who hard no regard for a man, do you think this man will answer her partitions? No! Can we look at the other part of it. Luke.18.4 - And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Can you see, they are people in this world that would not even want your progress, they might be your relatives, friends, brother, who don't even have the fear of God in them, when the see you moving ahead of them to your peak the will look for alternative to bring you down, this should be a warning to you never to share your pursuit and dreams of achievement to people who had not encounter with Christ.

Luke.18.5 - Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. Hear what this man said, remember he has no fear of God neither regards man but he said ...... I will avenge her..... I will settle her frustrated issue for her because of her regular and persistent coming to me lest she disturb me, she makes me  un-comfortable. 

"When God want to visit your problems he will makes your enemies blessings for you"

Luke.18.6 - And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. One thing the woman desire from this un-regarded, unjust man.

#1. Pursuing your set goals with prayer.

...............Avenge me of mine adversary. Just like this woman was persistent, pleading just for earthly things for the unjust man to see her through in her life challenge likewise,  the first woman we see in our text, who seek the things from above by continually in bitterness and prayers, one thing..... 

Luke.18.1 - And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; I

Hey!, You have come to realize that, you have been pursuing without adding one appropriate method which will in one way lead you to that very desire, your want that kept you so much longer which makes you work through out so many night with restlessness, worries as taken over your life because Of one unaccomplished task.......... One thing...!!!

We pursue shadows without pursuing the real image, hey! that is why your set goals has a challenge and has become a problem in your nerves. The application of all your knowledge will be of little help if you don't apply prayers.... One thing.

Can we go back now to our main text in 1Sam.1.10 - And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. Whenever you discover that your dreams is going down and there is no way to move upward, the best place to go and seek for solution is the alter of prayers. Look at David, when the Philistines were triumphing over Israel, because the have a champion who fight for them, not knowing that, there is God in Israel, David went an prayed, everyone set back from fighting Goliath, some were even discouraging him not to go and fight him, because the can't see the power of God almighty who reign forever, but David stood up and prayed and embark on the battle, behold, the champion Goliath was brought down that's the power of prayer. 

So what can we learn from David? He was determined with prayer, that makes him victorious.

1Sam.1.11 - And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Three key prayers from this Bible passage, I will emphasize on; number one, she prayed and said ............oh Lord of hosts; this is a prayer of pain and bitterness, from observation, you will see that, there is Ernest desire here, she called to the host of heaven not men, Because she believed in the power of almighty who can change the impossibilities to possibilities, they are certain people who call for men to sort out remedy for their life challenge not knowing that they will makes their problems more complicating.

The number two key prayer here is; .......if thou will indeed look upon the affliction of thine  handmaid. God sees Everyman predicament, just like as he prayed if God who can do all things will look upon her, looking her here is not the physical body but the inward pain and desire. The last key prayer too is ......and remember me; when God want to remember you in your captivity, he must first of all see the Ernest desire of you.

#2. Practical Demonstration of faith in God.

Lets look at brief Bible passages that will teach us what really faith is and how to practically demonstrate faith in God when  your set goals are lingering to be achieve.

Heb.11.1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  Faith by definition are those things we are looking forward to achieve, that is we hope to get them, which is one thing you desire. .......one thing, before I move forward again let look at the woman in our text, dose she received are answer to the prayer instantly NO, but God answer her later on. That's too show you that, she kept on believing and having faith.

Heb.11.3 - Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Another thing that comes to peoples mind is, how can I have such faith? But my rhetoric question is have you seen God before? NO, but you have faith in him because you know certainly that one day the righteous will be called him. One thing!!!!

Think about it like this: If a man or woman possessing the qualifications and licensures to practice medicine went around calling themselves a doctor but never treated anyone and even refused to help someone in need of emergency care, is that person really a doctor? No. He or she is nothing more than someone with knowledge and potential—or rather, wasted knowledge and potential. The same thing applies to people who say they are Christians but don’t live by faith. This shows that there is no practical demonstration of the knowledge acquired from their field of learning.

#3. Personal realisation.

From the two story I told you from the beginning, you will realize that one demonstration her weakness by prayers unto God and the second woman demonstrate her weakness by visiting the judge on Earth who hard no regard for God and man.

Personal realisation will help know the right steps to take to achieve your set goals,  

Who are those women in this story, Hannah and the widow, despite that both of them received the answers to the pleading, their struggle and their longing desire, but I can tell you as a Christian always carried all your challenge to God in prayers, don't seek for earthly wisdom to handle your set goals but realize that God can help you through the journey of dreams and destiny.

Prayer.

Oh Lord, I know I have not been seeking for advice from you before, concerning my set goals and dreams, have mercy and Grace. Give me the strength to move to the next level of success in Jesus name. Amen.
